Plasmatreat has a revolutionary method for open-air plasma treatment. This process is highly suitable for automation, something that SE Automation has capitalized on with the help of collaborative robots from Universal Robots. During Advanced Engineering in Kista, you will be able to see how Plasmatreat’s head is mounted on a UR10e from Universal Robots, which plasma treats materials, but also how the material is conveyed to the robot arm by a self-driving AMR from MiR. The MiR250 shelf carrier will drive up to the plasma robot and signal that it is in position for plasma treatment, after which it will be plasma treated and then return. This is to demonstrate the possibilities available today when building a modern factory, where one no longer needs to have conveyor belts everywhere but can use AMRs as transportation routes.
