How can Edge AI within the maritime sector improve wave recognition? This is being investigated through a collaboration with Nordic Engineering Partner (NEP), which has enabled a systematic approach to address the technical and operational challenges of implementing Edge AI in this area. By leveraging data collected near the coast of Norrtälje, work is underway to develop and validate AI models that have the potential to transform ship automation and decision-making fundamentally. The presentation is delivered by Rasmus Hamrén, a passionate researcher and developer who is involved in the forefront of technological innovation. His current research focuses on the use of Edge AI in the maritime sector, with a particular emphasis on wave recognition. The presentation will be held in English.
